Daily Prompt: Happy Endings
Tell us about something you’ve tried to quit. Did you go cold turkey, or for gradual change? Did it stick?

Today is my Wedding Anniversary so naturally I was hoping to write something about that.  The prompt that Michelle W. provided today made it tough (thanks Michelle).

I pondered my predicament and decided to twist things around like a pretzel.  So… I thought I would interpret it as when I tried to quit being single.  This allows me to write about my anniversary and still play “Daily Prompt”

You want to know if I went cold turkey or slowly worked my way into it.

I guess you could say I went cold turkey, because I was single, I said “I do” and then, I was no longer single.  That seems pretty abrupt.  That seems pretty “cold turkey”.

We didn’t really go for the gradual change, although we did travel together for about a month before tying the knot – I don’t think that counts as easing into it.

Did it stick?  So far it has.  But it’s only been a few years.  The adventures we have had together and the continuing adventures we look forward to; make it all worthwhile.

Here are some of the remarks I have gotten when I tell people that I am celebrating my 40^th anniversary.
