Daily Prompt: Last but Not Least

Daily Prompt: Last but Not Least

In your imaginary award acceptance speech (yes, we know you have one), who’s the very last — and most important — person you thank?

It’s an honor to be selected for this award and I want to mention what a pleasure it was to work with Victor Fleming. He is the consummate professional and really helped me to reach down and deliver my best.

The late, great Frank Baum – thanks for writing such a wonderful book and bringing such a magnificent story and such great characters to life in the hands of the screenwriters.

Ray Bolger (ahh Ray), Bert Lahr, Frank Morgan, and Jack Haley were a pleasure to work with every day. They picked me up on the set and kept me smiling even in those ridiculous costumes.

A very special thanks to Margret Hamilton, my confidant and friend on location.

Most of all though. I would like to thank all the little people. Thank you all so much.
