Bump and Grind

The work-night was over; still too early for dawn.
“See ya, Jimmy,” Darlene said to the doorman.
Stepping into the morning chill she adjusted her scarf.
“G’nite, Miss Drake!”

She walked away from beneath the darkened marquee that read:
“Girls, Girls, Girls”

  1. Amazing how you paint this scene with so few words. I really enjoyed the connection with the next story, too!

  2. Love the way you interpreted the prompt. You painted a great picture with these words – can see her walking away, neon lights flashing all around.
