Time Traveller

He traveled alone through the parallels of time

long before Wells told his stories.

But he chose to walk, sans machine.

It provided a more secure sense of time

and place

and space.

It kept him grounded,

to feel the dirt between his toes

and to have his head well below the clouds.

A Monday afternoon response to another Monday Writing Prompt generously provided by The Secret Keeper.
