Once

TBP

Once

I had a bajillion friends, till

It slowly came to light that

My friends were all broken

I cast them aside one by one and

Vowed to find new friends

Friends without flaws

Or cracks

Unbroken friends

Friends who were worthy

Unpugnacious friends

Friends lacking relentless bellicosity

Friends who do not play accordions

Or banjos

Friends who are not always flat broke, busted, looking to borrow money

I have a dog around here somewhere

Magnetic Poetry Saturday Challenge: O’ Poets of the Virtual Refrigerator

Today, I took out words that didn’t fit.
I slid them to the right a bit.

Those that remained moved about, on their own volition.
While I napped!
