Written for Write the Story
Like Joseph’s coat of many colours, now worn and faded
Almost matching, they stand in line, a particoloured coastal town, akin to soldiers at the edge of the road
A place for the Sunday Seafarer to store his skiff
Reel Deal resides at number four
Bull Fish, number twelve
A couple crewmen from the trawler “Taboo” squat in sixteen
The beacon at the Point remains ever watchful
I remember watching a show where there were ‘beach changing houses’ lined up like that. The towns folks had them as a convivence for changing into their ‘Victorian’ bathing attire. Though I always did wonder how comfortable wool suits were, especially once wet.
Like that beacon keeping watch. I’ve been up to the top of a couple of light houses. 😀
