My mother wouldn’t like Jillian.
Jillian knows what she wants.
Excepting my mother, Jillian is the most stubborn woman I know.
Neither she nor I care what Mother might say.
Mother doesn’t know what Jillian brings to the table.
But I do.
A place filled with mostly unfinished stories. Begun primarily as a direct result of my association with the OC Writer's Guild
I like the hidden something in this poem and I have been thinking about what Jillian might be bringing to the table- like your mother I don’t know and that is the whole excitement this poem brings.
Is there more ?

Such fantastic character voice in this piece and your last line underlines it with relish. A great write!

Loved the way you interpreted this prompt. That old age battle between mother and ‘that woman’ is captured so well in just 42 words.

Sweet! Nice take on the prompt. Go, Jillian!

Something different from the prompt…love that. A battle waged throughout history…I’m glad Jillian is winning and not mom.

Jillian sounds like a bad influence. In this case, mom may know best!

I like that your answer to the ultimate question is, essentially, “We don’t care.” Neat approach.
